Hello all.....:D
Since my last tutorial was something involving mobile phones, I've decided to teach you guys, how to transform your Windows XP to the latest Apple Operating System, OSX Lion both in looks and functionality. And after this your Windows XP, which might have looked like this:
will look like this:
This tutorial has 4 parts:-
1] Lion Transformation Pack
2] Lion Skin Pack 4
3] Yahoo! Widgets
4] iPod Touch Skin for Windows Media Player
I. Lion Transformation Pack:
In this part, all you gotta do is to download and install the lion transformation pack which can be downloaded here. This will do most of the changes needed like:
1) Sounds
2) Icons
3) Taskbar Position
4) Dock (Stardock ObjectDock)
5) VirtuaWin (Multiple Desktop Simulator)
6) True Transperancy (Title Bar Simulator)
7) WinExposé ( Windows version of Mac OSX's Exposé)
8) Lefty (Mirrors all the icons)
So this part is completed only after the pack is installed/
II. Lion Skinpack 4
This is a program through which we will install more applications.
1) Download it from here
2) Extract the contents and run Lion Skin Pack 4.exe
3) Select :
a) Next
b) Agree
c) Custom Installation And then Next
4) A window will appear in which you must unselect 'UX Theme Patch' and
'Files', but you must leave the 'Extras' box selected
and click on the
right-pointing triangle before the word 'Extras' and unselect the following:
a) Media
b) Cursors
c) Visual Style
d) Screensaver
e) Wallpaper
f ) Fonts
g) LeftSider
h) RocketDock
i ) DesktopCoral
j ) mySapce
k) Winexpose
l ) TopTaskbar
5) Leave those not mentioned in the list as selected and click on install.
6) After installation is completed, select reeboot now and click on finish.
7) Move on to the next part.
III. Yahoo! Widgets
This application is a dock containing widgets which are similar to the Mac Dashboard Widgets. All you have to do is download it from here.
Once you install the downloaded file, Yahoo! widgets launcher dock will look like this:
You can add more widgets from http://widgets.yahoo.com/
IV. iPOD Touch Skin for Windows Media Player (This is extra)
This skin is just for enhancement of your desktop and is also an emulator of the iPod Touch in which Youtube, Maps, etc. works!!!
Download it here.
Once downloaded, extract it from the .zip file to a new folder on your main hard drive (C:\). Go to that folder and right-click on the file named 'iPodTouch' and select Open and if a dialogue box appears, choose Windows Media Player from the list on programs.
And You're Done.......................;-)
